Before & After School Club – S’Cool Club
Our before and after S’Cool Club at Ball Green Primary School is an in-house club run by qualified members of staff with the aim of providing children in its care with a safe, stable, stimulating and caring environment. We aim to develop strong friendships, extend social skills, and encourage personal interests and hobbies.
Our qualified, friendly and familiar staff will provide an atmosphere that makes both the children and their parents/carers feel relaxed, happy and comfortable. We particularly strive to achieve a home-from-home atmosphere to ensure that our children are always happy and content. We do not aim to be as structured as school and ALL children will have opportunities to make decisions about their club and the activities on offer.
BEFORE SCHOOL
The before school facility caters for up to 40 children and is open from 7.30am. Children may eat breakfast, catch up on homework, play or generally relax before the start of the school day. Staff will ensure that the children get to their classrooms ready to start the school day with learning interventions and boosters at 8.30am. Children will have access to a simple breakfast of toasts and/or cereals, or they can bring their own breakfast if they wish.
The fee for the before S’Cool Club is £4.00 per session, irrespective of the time that a child is dropped off. A £1.00 discount per session/per child is available where siblings are attending, i.e. a brother and sister attend for £3.00 each per session or a total of £6.00 per session; two brothers and two sisters attend for £3.00 each per session or a total of £12.00 per session.
AFTER SCHOOL
The after school facility will cater for up to 40 children. Staff will be setting up and waiting for the children in the hall from 3pm. Once in the after S’Cool Club children will have the opportunity to have a drink while a register will be completed for that session. The children will then be able to enjoy all the activities planned for them or activities of their own choosing. We are more than happy to assist children with any homework they wish to complete during their time with us. However, we will not insist that any child does their homework in the after S’Cool Club as this is not the purpose of this facility. An afternoon snack will be given to all children attending the after school club.
